Mayland Mushrooms started in the fall of 2015 in Bakersville, NC. We operate a year-round temperature-controlled grow room; however we also practice extensive outdoor cultivation, with a focus on encouraging new mushroom growth from our spawn. In addition to providing fresh gourmet mushrooms to the Mayland area, we also offer grow kits, plug spawn, and other cultivation supplies. All indoor mushrooms are grown on a mix of natural materials which can include a variety of hardwood and softwood sawdusts and chips, wheat straw, and oat bran; outdoor mushrooms are grown on logs or wood chips. We take the utmost care in harvesting our fruits at the perfect stage of maturity, and guarantee that all of our spawn is fresh and viable at the time of sale.
